HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights

£18.63 per hour | 40 hours guaranteed | Immediate starts available
Pilgrim Foodservice is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our night operation based in Boston. This role is primarily focused on trunking between our depots, offering consistent work, regular routes and minimal manual handling.
Shift Pattern
- Start times between 22:00 and 01:00
- 8–10 hour shifts
- 5 nights per week (Sunday–Friday rota)
- 40 hours guaranteed
The Role
As a Night HGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in keeping our distribution network moving. Most shifts involve straightforward trunking runs between depots with limited customer interaction and only occasional unloading.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles safely and professionally
- Completing trunking runs between Pilgrim depots
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours and tachograph regulations
- Assisting with unloading at depot when required
- Supporting additional deliveries when needed
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts
- Reliable, safety-conscious and professional approach
- Good communication skills
