About the role
The role of the Geoenvironmental Engineer offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company.
We believe in the development of people and that the best engineers have knowledge of all aspects of the work, so the role will involve the full project life cycle, from quoting and project set up, through to report production and after care.
The role is a physically demanding role with manual handling tasks and involves visiting sites nationwide to undertake various investigations such as, but not limited to;

Writing Phase 1 desk study reports and GQRAs

Planning and supervision of site investigations

Developing your skills in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering

Analysing and interpreting laboratory test data

Liaising with clients, design team professionals and regulators
The role is both a field-based and office-based role and you will be required to travel to sites across the country as necessary. Vehicles for travel are provided by the company although you will need to be able to attend our offices and have a full driving license.
Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients’ needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll have 2-3 years’ experience within the field and a relevant degree, master’s or equivalent qualification (or working toward these).
You will have experience in soil logging and sitework supervision, strong communication skills, be reliable and a team player with a proactive and positive attitude. You will enjoy physical work, be looking to learn new skills and have practical problem-solving skills.
You will be expected to sit the necessary courses, medical, drug and alcohol screening tests as required.
A full and clean driving license is a requirement for this role.
You’ll be working across a number of business areas so strong organisational skills are also a must. You’ll also have a strong team ethic, have a pro-active attitude and be able to demonstrate strong collaborative behaviors within a team and multifunctional trades.

We’re offering a competitive starting salary of £28,000 pa (depending on experience) with overtime pay, along with 25 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays), paid travel and expenses, use of company vehicles for sitework, company profit sharing scheme, mentoring programme for progression to chartership and private medical insurance.
