Location: Douglas, Isle of Man

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Technician to join our Finance Improvement Project Team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across ZIL and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider Zurich Group. You’ll play a key part in improving finance processes, helping to simplify, automate, and strengthen the way we work.

What you’ll do:

Review existing manual finance processes to understand current ways of working and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve efficiency.
Contribute to the review and assessment of reconciliation remediation actions.
Work collaboratively with finance and non-finance teams to deliver process improvements.
Assist Workstream Leads and Project Managers with testing, implementation, and training activities.
Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience working in a finance team.
A proactive, self-starting mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in process improvement and control design within finance (e.g. strengthening controls, standardising processes, supporting automation).
Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of finance processes and systems.
Proven experience completing financial reconciliations.
Experience in a change-focused environment would be beneficial.
Insurance industry knowledge would be an advantage.
