Job Overview

Redpath Tyres is a growing family run business for over 50years. With 11 service locations We pride our business on servicing all tyre related services to many sectors eg. general public, local agricultural business as well as nationwide fleet businesses. This includes repairing/replacing many sizes of car/van/4x4 & commercial tyres.

The vacancy of an assistant manager has become available in our Kelso branch. This role would be second-in-command, balancing hands-on tyre fitting with daily operational and staff management. Core duties include day to day running of the depot floor, and stepping up to deputise for the manager when required.

Key responsibilities include:

Operational Oversight: Assisting the Depot Manager in daily retail and commercial workshop functions, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and safely.
Team Leadership: Supervising, motivating, and training depot staff and junior technicians.
Hands-on Tyre Fitting: Leading by example by carrying out tyre repair, replacement, and balancing for cars, vans, or commercial vehicles.
Stock & Equipment Management: Conducting regular stock checks and ensuring all workshop machinery and equipment are calibrated and fit for purpose.

Customer Service: Managing customer relationships, handling inquiries, and resolving escalated issues

In return Redpath Tyres over good rate of pay based on experience, hands on support when required and good progression paths within the company.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
