Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Singing Teacher to join our vibrant Performing Arts school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging vocal lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, fostering their musical development and confidence. Duties
- Design and deliver customised singing lessons tailored to individual student needs and goals
- Demonstrate proper vocal techniques, breathing exercises, and performance skills
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for performances, auditions, or examinations as required
- Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to improve
- Organise and participate in recitals, workshops, or group classes to enhance learning experiences
- Keep accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and progress reports
- Stay updated with current teaching methods and vocal health practices
- Musical Director for our annual yearly show
- Edit music and organise where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Singing Teacher or vocal coach with a strong portfolio of student success stories
- Formal qualifications in music or vocal performance are preferred but not essential if accompanied by relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages
- A thorough understanding of vocal anatomy, health, and proper technique
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit individual learning preferences
- Passion for music education and nurturing talent in others
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and manage multiple students simultaneously
