Finance Manager / General Accountant (Subsidiary)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly autonomous and detail-oriented Finance Manager / General Accountant to join our subsidiary. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial operations and reliable reporting to the parent company. You will act as a trusted financial partner locally and a key contact for the head office finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general and auxiliary accounting (accounts receivable and payable)
- Oversee client accounts, including follow-up, payment reminders, and litigation tracking
- Perform regular account reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and manage monthly bank reconciliations
- Support quarterly reporting by preparing entries, including:
- Identification of unpaid invoices
- Accruals (invoices to be issued, charges, deferred income, etc.)
- Other adjustments (e.g. participation in advertising costs)
- Coordinate with external/local accountants by:
- Providing necessary elements for the annual financial statements
- Supporting the preparation of monthly payroll and social/fiscal declarations
- Support the subsidiary director with ad hoc administrative tasks
Key Relationships
- Reports directly to the Subsidiary Director
- Acts as the functional liaison with the Group Finance Department, particularly during:
- Quarterly reporting cycles
- Year-end closing processes

Technical Requirements
- Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification such as:
- ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA (or local equivalent) – preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Experience in subsidiary or international group reporting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of:
- General accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
- Financial reporting and closing processes
- Tax and regulatory requirements (local compliance)
- Proven experience in:
- Accounts payable/receivable management
- Monthly and quarterly closing activities
- Working with external auditors or accountants
Pay: £31,896.91-£40,000.00 per year
