Overview
We are seeking a responsible and caring Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care and companionship to pets while their owners are away or busy. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to handle active pets. This position offers an opportunity to work in a flexible environment, ensuring pets receive the attention and exercise they need for their well-being.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort during outings
- Provide pet sitting services in clients’ homes, including feeding, administering medication, and engaging in playtime
- Monitor pet behaviour and report any concerns or health issues to owners promptly
- Maintain a clean and organised environment during visits
- Follow specific care instructions provided by pet owners
- Build strong relationships with clients through reliable and compassionate service
- Handle pet-related equipment such as leashes, harnesses, and toys with care
Experience
- Strong knowledge of animal care routines and health needs
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Physical strength for heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to different pets' personalities and requirements
