You will join us on a full time (37 hours), full year basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £29,662 and £43,662 per annum, plus staff benefits.

About the role:
This role is primarily based at our Huntingdon campus, we deliver the same range of programmes at our Cambridge campus and the post may be timetabled to work across both campuses
The Department is looking to recruit a lecturer with an Early Years background to teach across our L1 to L3 Early Years programmes including the new T-level in Education and Childcare.
The main responsibility of this role will be to provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment in addition to undertaking associated tutorial duties.
The successful candidate will also be a course leader for one or more programmes.

The role is primarily face to face but we do offer agile working on a case by case basis depending on personal circumstances and business need.
What we are looking for in our role:
The ideal applicant will have experience in teaching and assessing Early Years programmes with relevant occupational competency and experience working in the Early Years sector.
They will be passionate about their subject and inspirational to learners with the ability to generate creative teaching and learning materials, along with good organisational and time-management skills.
Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications or industry experience with a full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLS) is required for the role. Applicants with a L3 teaching qualification who are willing to undertake a full L5 Diploma in Education and Training will be considered.
This teaching role and course is eligible for levelling up premium payments you could qualify to receive an extra payment of up to £6,000 per year, after tax. This payment is separate from teachers’ pay.
You can claim your payment if you are in your first 5 years of teaching in FE, teach at least 2.5 hours per week and meet the full eligibility criteria.
