The Role
As our Customer & Operations Administrator, you will be one of the key faces of Secure Storage, supporting customers from their first enquiry through to ongoing account management.
This is a varied role combining customer service, administration, finance support and operational assistance. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business while delivering an outstanding experience for our customers.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in their work, and understands that excellent customer service and security go hand in hand.
Success in this role requires a collaborative approach. We are a small team where every member plays an important part in the success of the business. Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to support colleagues are essential. Whilst you will have primary responsibilities, no job is ever considered "someone else's problem". We work together, support one another, and share responsibility for delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, visitors and prospective customers.
- Respond to enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
- Deliver a friendly, professional and welcoming customer experience.
- Build positive relationships with customers and provide reassurance regarding the security of their assets.
- Handle customer concerns and complaints with empathy, professionalism and efficiency.
Administration
- Manage customer accounts from initial enquiry through to contract completion.
- Prepare and maintain customer records, agreements and documentation.
- Process insurance information and maintain accurate records.
- Carry out general office administration, including filing, correspondence and data entry.
- Ensure customer information is managed confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.
Finance Support
- Raise invoices and process customer payments.
- Assist with overdue accounts and payment monitoring.
- Maintain accurate financial records and administrative reports.
Operations & Security Support
- Support site access procedures and customer arrivals.
- Assist with site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems when required.
- Assist colleagues with day-to-day operational activities across the storage facility.
- Promote a safe, secure and welcoming environment for customers and visitors.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, hospitality, reception, retail, office administration or a similar customer-facing role.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and email systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable
- Experience within the leisure, tourism, storage, logistics, property or service sectors.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience using CRM, invoicing or customer management software.
