Software Engineer, Frontend & UX

Oneiro Solutions and its Digital Loan Exchange (DLX) platform brings to market an entirely digital syndicated loan administration platform. Built on the latest technology standards, our platform removes the need for faxes and emails, providing a seamless collaborative and transparent experience for borrowers, lenders and agents throughout the lifecycle of a syndicated loan.

Role description

As a Front End Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing user interfaces for the DLX web application, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the front-end code. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of web development concepts and technologies, ideally with experience in Vue.js framework.

We are looking for engineers that are capable of learning new technologies and business domains quickly, able to work with little supervision and able to adapt to a fast moving organisational and technological environment, sometimes wearing many hats. We expect our engineers to write clean, effective code and have a principled and pragmatic approach to software engineering.

At Oneiro you will work autonomously, and freely raise ideas and issues in an open and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain user interfaces for web applications using Vue.js
Work closely with backend engineers and the broader team to develop and implement new features
Write clean, reusable and efficient code following best practices and standards
Optimise web applications for maximum speed and scalability
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Participate in code reviews and the improvement of our coding standards
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development

Requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally 2-5 years of experience in Front End Development
Strong experience with Vue.js framework (or other reactive javascript library)
Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Ideally ES6+
Knowledge of RESTful API’s or GraphQL
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirables

Experience in UI/UX design
Experience working with Typescript
Experience with testing frameworks - we currently use Playwright
Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies
Fintech or Banking experience, especially corporate or investment banking
