Nanny Bears are recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager for our wonderful Buckfastleigh setting!

At Nanny Bears our vision is to create small, homely settings, promoting our unique ethos of ‘Caring for your child as if they were one of our own’ in a Hygge environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Deputy Manager to join our friendly nursery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional looking to take the next step in their career.

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, lead and motivate staff, ensure high standards of care and education, and help maintain compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Your will have the following experience, skills and attributes -

Have a full and relevant (minimum) Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.
Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
A good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and the ability to support staff in using the framework.
Experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice.
Be a good team player who enjoys working as part of a close-knit family
Have the ability to use initiative and to create inspiring and creative activities
Be positive, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children
