An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new member to join our small, friendly workshop.
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically minded Apprentice IT Workshop technician. This is a hands-on role supporting the build, repair, testing, and configuration of IT and electronic equipment within a busy technical workshop environment.

Role Objectives:
You will work within a small, supportive team where you will be given full training and ongoing support from experienced technicians and the Workshop Manager. We are looking for someone who is motivated, practical, eager to learn, and willing to get involved in all areas of the workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in technology who enjoys problem solving, building systems, repairing equipment, and working collaboratively as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities:
· Assisting with the build, configuration, and testing of IT equipment and systems
· Supporting repairs, diagnostics, and fault-finding on hardware and electronic devices
· Preparing devices for deployment, including imaging and software installation
· Assisting with upgrades and replacement of hardware components
· Supporting workshop organisation, stock control, and asset management
· Assisting with ordering stock, checking deliveries, and ensuring parts and equipment are booked in correctly
· Helping maintain accurate stock records and ensuring the workshop remains organised and well supplied
· Accurately recording repairs, builds, and technical updates within internal systems
· Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
· Learning and following technical processes, quality standards, and health & safety procedures
· Providing general support to the Workshop Manager and wider technical team
· Being flexible and hands-on in supporting the day-to-day needs of the workshop
Personal Requirements:
· Strong interest in IT, hardware, electronics, or technology
· Motivated, hands-on, and willing to learn new technical skills
· Able to work well within a small team environment
· Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Reliable, organised, and proactive in supporting others
· Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
· Experience building or repairing PCs or electronics as a hobby, through education, or previous work experience
· Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
· IT or engineering-related qualifications or studies would help
