Tire Technician Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

Perform tyre installations, rotations, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
Conduct thorough inspections of tyres for wear and damage.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely.
Assist in heavy lifting of tyres and equipment as required.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and tools.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive repair preferred.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tyre maintenance.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as part of daily duties.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
