Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants / Practitioners to join our exciting early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging activities tailored to children's developmental stages
- Support children with daily routines, including mealtimes, naps, and personal care
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and learning
- Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and interests to inform future planning
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with nursery policies
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure children's needs are met comprehensively
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
- Support children with special educational needs or additional requirements as needed
Experience
- Previous experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with colleagues and parents
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation or outings
- Experience in managing groups of children and leading activities confidently is preferable.
