Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our school catering team in the role of School Catering Unit Supervisor.
This is an exciting time to join the school, as catering provision will come under school management from September 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued development of a high-quality, efficient and responsive catering service for children, staff and visitors.
The School Catering Unit Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day control and organisation of the school catering service, including; preparing the daily meal service, supervision of staff, management of stock and supplies, menu planning, and the maintenance of excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and customer care.
The postholder will be expected to ensure the effective and economical use of resources, support the smooth running of the service, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
The successful candidate will be required to work within school policies and procedures, attend meetings and training as required, and carry out duties in accordance with the needs of the school.

- A recognised supervisory or team leader qualification
- A recognised food hygiene qualification
- Experience of school or commercial catering
- Experience of supervising teams
- Knowledge of allergies and special dietary needs
