Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Deliver goods to customers' premises promptly and efficiently, maintaining high levels of professionalism
Load and unload items, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured during transit
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
Complete necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and mileage logs
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure personal and team safety

Experience

Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry)
Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is preferred

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 5:30pm with a Saturday rota (1 in 4)
