Overview
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Traveling Tailor to join our team. This role involves visiting clients at their locations to provide bespoke tailoring services, ensuring a personalised experience that meets individual needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent craftsmanship, strong interpersonal skills, and the flexibility to travel frequently. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys working independently and delivering high-quality tailoring solutions directly to clients.

Responsibilities

Travel to client locations across various regions to perform tailoring and alteration services
Take precise measurements and assess clients’ clothing needs on-site
Provide expert advice on fit, fabric choices, and garment adjustments
Carry out alterations such as hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and fitting adjustments with precision
Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship while working independently in diverse environments
Manage scheduling appointments efficiently and communicate effectively with clients regarding service details
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are transported securely and maintained in excellent condition
Uphold professional appearance and behaviour at all times to represent the company positively

Skills

Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress with strong technical skills in garment fitting and alterations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments independently
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and understand their specific requirements
Flexibility to travel frequently within designated regions and adapt to varying work environments
Good time management skills to ensure punctuality and efficient scheduling of appointments
Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of different fabrics, tailoring techniques, and current fashion trends is desirable
Valid driving licence is preferred for ease of travel between client locations

This role offers a dynamic working environment where craftsmanship meets personalised service delivery. The successful candidate will enjoy the independence of travelling while honing their tailoring expertise in diverse settings.

Pay: Up to £47,689.00 per year
