Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated housekeeper and cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer care at our luxury holiday cottages.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness standards.
Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas regularly.
Handle specialised cleaning tasks including window washing and sofa protection.
Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll to ensure facilities are fully equipped.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to management promptly.
Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour while interacting with clients or visitors.

Skills

Previous experience in cleaning is preferred; holiday cottage or hotel experience is a plus.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently throughout the day.
Customer service skills are desirable for roles involving direct interaction with guests and managing other staff.
Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality as essential qualities. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals who take pride in creating clean and welcoming environments while working in a supportive team setting.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
