Property Maintenance Coordinator

HNC Lettings & Property Management are looking for a practical, organised and proactive person to join our team as a Property Maintenance Coordinator.
This is an office-based role coordinating maintenance issues across our managed properties. It is not a hands-on maintenance role working out on site.
We already have trusted contractors carrying out repairs. What we need is somebody with good common sense who can help troubleshoot issues, communicate with tenants and coordinate works efficiently from the office.
What the role involves:
- Managing maintenance issues reported by tenants
- Helping tenants resolve simple issues over the phone where possible
- Identifying when a contractor is needed and arranging attendance
- Coordinating plumbers, electricians, handymen and other contractors
- Following jobs through from first report through to completion
- Updating landlords on progress
- Keeping accurate records using our property software and email systems
We’re looking for somebody who:
- Is practical and solution-focused
- Has excellent common sense and enjoys problem solving
- Communicates well with tenants, landlords and contractors
- Is confident using email and basic computer systems
- Can manage multiple ongoing jobs and priorities
- Ideally has experience in property, maintenance coordination, facilities, trades, or strong DIY knowledge
This role could suit someone from a property or trade background, or somebody semi-retired looking for a varied office-based role using their practical knowledge and experience.
Flexible hours can be discussed for the right person.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
