About The Amicus Community:
The Amicus Community is a pioneering therapeutic children's community, specialising in providing care, education, and support to vulnerable and traumatised children. We are committed to using a psychoanalytic and group relations model to help children recover from trauma and thrive in a nurturing and therapeutic environment.
We are currently seeking a Therapeutic Services Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children through therapeutic intervention and support. You will play a key role in assessing children’s needs, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting our staff in delivering high-quality therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the therapeutic needs of children and design tailored interventions.
Support the development of our Therapies and Network Department.
Provide clinical supervision and guidance to staff.
Facilitate treatment and transition planning, ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders.
Participate in the review and update of therapeutic care plans, risk assessments, and safety plans.
Spend time in the homes and school, modelling therapeutic practices and supporting staff with real-time observations.
Deliver training, reflective spaces, and workshops for staff development.
Collaborate with local authorities, parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure children's progress and care plans are effectively communicated and implemented.
Support and ensure safeguarding practices align with statutory guidelines and our therapeutic model.
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Psychology or a related field (therapeutic training desirable).
Experience working in therapeutic, clinical, or psychological settings, ideally with children.
A strong understanding of trauma, attachment, and therapeutic interventions.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Ability to reflect on and understand complex behaviours, applying psychoanalytic principles in practice.
