Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer specialising in Injection Mould Tools to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising mould tools utilised in plastic injection moulding processes. Duties
- Develop detailed designs for injection mould tools using SolidWorks and CAD software, ensuring precision and compliance with project specifications.
- Create schematics and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Perform root cause analysis on existing mould tools to identify failures or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in troubleshooting during the prototype phase, providing technical support for optimisation and refinement of mould tools.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical design related to injection mould tools or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and Machining Strategist
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis effectively, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
- A background in mechanical engineering or related field is essential, complemented by hands-on experience in tool design or development projects.
