Disability Support Assistant (Access to Work Funded Role)

Dovecote School is seeking a highly organised and compassionate Disability Support Assistant to provide dedicated workplace support for a teacher with a visual impairment.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an inclusive and values-led school, helping to implement reasonable adjustments that enable a colleague to work independently and effectively. Through practical support with digital systems, administration, reporting and communication, you will directly contribute to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Hours: 30 hours per week (1pm-6pm, Monday-Friday)

Working Weeks: Term Time Only

Contract: Fixed term, 12 months initially (subject to renewal of Access to Work funding)

Salary: Dependent on experience

The Role

You will provide day-to-day support with school systems, data management, reporting and administrative processes, ensuring information is handled accurately, efficiently and confidentially. Working closely with colleagues across the school, you will help maintain an accessible and inclusive working environment.

Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Communicates professionally and effectively
