Benchdogs Ltd is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Worker to join our Laser Marking Department.
This role involves using computer-controlled laser marking machines to mark and personalise our products to a high standard. You will be working with a range of Benchdogs products, ensuring markings are accurate, clean, and consistent before items move through production or into packing.
The ideal candidate will be confident using computers, have a strong eye for detail, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. This role is based in a clean production environment, so tidiness, organisation, and maintaining a clean workspace are essential. Some experience with Adobe Illustrator would be an advantage, although training can be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating laser marking machines safely and accurately
- Using computers to set up and prepare marking jobs
- Checking product markings for accuracy, quality, and consistency
- Loading and positioning products correctly in the laser machine
- Following job sheets, drawings, and production instructions
- Keeping the laser marking area clean, tidy, and well organised at all times
- Carrying out basic machine checks and maintaining a clean working environment
- Working with the production and packing teams to keep orders moving efficiently
- Reporting any quality issues, errors, or machine problems to a supervisor
Skills and Experience
- Good computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a clean production environment
- A tidy and organised approach to work
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator would be an advantage
- Previous experience with laser marking, engraving, or CNC machinery would be useful, but is not essential
