We are looking to recruit to a Test and Transition Analyst vacancy to join the Resident and Business Digital Experience Programme on a time-limited contract.
The RBDxP Programme:
The Resident and Business Digital Experience Programme (RBDxP) is a dynamic and ambitious programme which works to transform the way the Council interacts with residents, businesses, and partners.
The overall objective is to provide Manchester’s residents, businesses and partners with an easy to use, fully integrated set of digital public services that will improve customer journeys and interactions, using the best available technology, and make digital the preferred method of choice.
Ensuring that residents and businesses who want to interact digitally can do so easily by utilising digital technologies, best practice methodologies, user engagement, data, and by building a digital, customer-focused culture.

The Resident and Business Digital Experience Programme (RBDxP) falls within the Engagement and Delivery unit within ICT.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tester to join our dynamic team.
As a tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our digital platforms and solutions. RBDxP is agile with a fast-paced weekly implementation schedule, this role will need to plan and test the changes to support the iterative development of the digital platform. Support the Programme as you analyse data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions to drive successful outcomes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualifications in testing such as BCS or similar organisation
- Understanding of development processes, lifecycles, tools and techniques and their application to planning and executing testing.
- Knowledge of service delivery and service support concepts and processes.
- Experience of Manual or Automated Testing on web and client server applications.
- Experience of manual or automated testing tools such as :- HP ALM QC, HP ALM, Selenium.
- Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes.
- Understanding of testing complex user interfaces. Broad experience of analysing, assessing and resolving complex test issues and problems.
- Experience of analysing functional specifications and creating test scripts.
