- To direct, supervise and support Supply Chain staff, as required and appropriate, in carrying out Supply Chain functions.
- To make full use of returned in date / redundant stock from all areas, liaising with all Clinical staff, to minimise the cost of waste, ensuring products are moved to clinical area’s to be consumed
- To support the work of the Procurement savings plan through analysis of stock levels in all theatre storerooms, Mat Man and the warehouse to ensure levels support Patient Care.
- To work independently across the supply chain function, seeking senior support only when required
- Provide operational and analytical support to Supply Chain projects.
Approve supply chain expenditure to support service improvement, inventory reduction and efficiency

Actively carry out role as part of the Supply Chain Management team.
Ensure efficient & effective use of all supply chain resources.
Accurate accounting of Returns including out of date and quarantine stock.
Responsible for data integrity, analysis, recommendations, and provision to end user, and contracting team.
Provide expert advice and guidance on the interpretation and effective use of data for quotation and contract requirements.

Utilise specialist technical skills with data analysis and statistical software packages; providing advance analytical support, interpretation and communicating complex analytical results to support supplier selection, financial outcomes and contract awards.
Analysis’s Trust product usage to allow informed decisions to be made on supplier selection, quantities required, levels of stock required per location and bulk buying opportunities to generate contracted savings outcomes.
Monitor supplier compliance for contracted delivery times, and product compliance. Produce data to support supplier contract review meetings.
Manipulation of data to produce reports using Formula, pivot tables, charts & graphs to present information in the most appropriate form, to clinical colleagues to maximise space and stock levels
To undertake trend analysis and forecasting.
Work alongside the Head of Supply Chain to continually review current practice and implement improvements, managing internal operations and resources to enable the delivery of Supply Chain Strategy.
Monitor and update SOP’s as required to support service change / improvement.
To ensure any variation in data quality is brought to the attention of the Head of Supply Chain to agree the most appropriate response.
Manage change throughout the supply chain process, promoting and implementing standardisation (GS1).
Responsible for raising and approving orders within supply chain function budgets to support service improvement.
