Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a KP. This role involves supporting kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth preparation and presentation of food within a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary arts, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is highly desirable.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages
- Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure high standards of hygiene are upheld
- Support serving staff as needed, including delivering food to tables or assisting with customer requests
- Contribute to creating a welcoming environment for guests through professional conduct and hospitality skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience working in hotels or other hospitality settings is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for customer service roles
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
