Our considerable range of skills enable us to look after and maintain some of the rarest and most sought-after cars in the world, something our founder has been doing for over 50 years!

We are a dynamic small business focused on delivering high-quality products/services to our clients. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a hands-on accountant who can manage our finances efficiently, assist in the company’s daily jobs and help guide smart business decisions.

We require a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in various accounting software and contribute to the financial health of our organisation.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Credit control management.
Strong IT skills, Sage Payroll & 50 Accounts.
Managing VAT returns, PAYE and Pensions.
Utilise accounting software such as Sage to maintain financial data.
Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Negotiating contracts in coalition with Directors.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Support audit preparations by organising necessary documentation.
Answering company phone calls.
Company credit card management.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information flow.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, preferably within a similar industry.
Proficiency in accounting software including Sage and other relevant platforms.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications such as AAT or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations is welcomed. This position is paid and offers a dynamic environment where your skills will be valued and developed further.

Pay: £24,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
