The Department of Language and Linguistic Science is seeking to appoint a French LFA Tutor to join our Languages for All (Institution-Wide Language Provision) programme.
The purpose of the role is to convene and deliver high-quality teaching through face-to-face instruction as part of an established programme, ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment. You will deliver 2-hour evening sessions to a diverse cohort including University students, staff, and members of the public.
- Highly proficient user of French (both spoken and written)
- In-depth knowledge of cultural and social themes in the French-speaking world
- Ability to convene and deliver lectures and seminars in subject area courses
- Able to manage and deliver own course modules and contribute to team-taught units
- Ability to set and mark work according to subject specialism and provide feedback
- Experience of working in French
- Positive attitude to colleagues and students with a willingness to work proactively
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work to meet deadlines
This is a term time only contract. Annual leave is expected to be taken outside of working periods.
