Our Venue Presentation Team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our clients and visitors.
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Housekeeper to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our venue.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for ensuring both public and back-of-house areas remain clean, safe, and presentation-ready at all times, supporting a 24/7 operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular cleaning inspections across all areas of the venue
- Respond quickly and independently to cleaning needs as they arise
- Complete planned cleaning tasks in line with rotas and schedules
- Manage unplanned cleaning tasks (e.g. spillages, accidents, adverse weather impact)
- Maintain and replenish consumables in kitchens, toilets, and public areas
- Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs
- Safely operate a range of cleaning equipment, from basic tools to specialist machinery
- Carry out safety checks on equipment and ensure COSHH compliance
- Support event changeovers, including waste removal and keeping exits clear
- Assist in supervising and supporting casual and contract cleaning staff
- Provide on-site guidance and basic training for temporary team members
What You Will Bring
You will bring a friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude, with a proactive mindset and strong ‘can-do’ approach. You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team, and able to stay calm and effective in a fast-paced environment. You will be reliable, with excellent timekeeping, and physically capable of carrying out manual tasks. Strong communication skills (written and verbal English) are essential, along with a good understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHH.
