Launch Your Career with One of North Staffordshire's Leading Independent Letting Agencies
Rockett Home Rentals is an established, award-winning and forward-thinking lettings business managing a substantial portfolio of residential properties across Staffordshire. We are looking for an ambitious graduate—ideally with a Law degree—who wants to build a long-term professional career within the property industry.
This is not simply an administration role. You'll gain practical experience in property law, contract management, compliance, dispute resolution, negotiation and client relationship management while working alongside an experienced team.
Whether your ambition is to become a senior property professional, compliance specialist, operations manager or business leader, we'll invest heavily in your development.
About the Role
You will work across every aspect of residential lettings, developing expertise in both the legal and commercial sides of the industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising and supporting landlords and tenants throughout the tenancy lifecycle.
- Preparing tenancy agreements and legal documentation.
- Managing compliance with housing legislation and industry regulations.
- Serving legal notices where required.
- Registering tenancy deposits and managing deposit returns and disputes.
- Reviewing inventories, inspections and property reports.
- Managing tenancy renewals and legal documentation.
- Coordinating property maintenance with contractors, landlords and tenants.
- Monitoring gas safety certificates, Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), EPCs and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Processing tenant references and application forms.
- Chasing rent arrears and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Carrying out property viewings.
- Maintaining accurate electronic files and case records.
- Diary management for inspections, maintenance appointments, move-ins and move-outs.
- Building excellent relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is intelligent, organised and enjoys solving problems.
Ideally you will have:
- A Law degree (LLB) or another strong academic degree.
- An interest in property, contracts or legal compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Confidence dealing with people both face-to-face and over the phone.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong IT skills.
- The ability to prioritise work in a busy office.
- A full UK driving licence.
Previous experience in lettings is not essential. Full training will be provided.
Career Development
We believe in developing our people.
You'll receive structured training across every area of the business and will study towards the Propertymark (ARLA) Level 3 Qualification, the industry's recognised professional qualification.
- Company-funded ARLA Level 3 qualification.
- £1,000 salary increase upon successful completion.
- Qualification to be completed within your first 12 months.
- Ongoing mentoring from experienced property professionals.
What You'll Gain
- Starting salary of £26,000–£28,000 depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday working (no weekend rota).
- Clear career progression.
- Professional qualifications fully funded.
- Exposure to property law and legal compliance.
- Friendly, supportive and highly experienced team.
- Varied work where no two days are the same.
There will occasionally be busier periods, particularly during the summer, when some flexibility with working hours is appreciated.
If you're looking for a professional graduate role where you can develop genuine legal and commercial expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
