We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking shop assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will need to provide excellent customer service, assist with paint mixing and help prepare orders, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the shop.
Your responsibilities will include
-Mixing paint to customer requirements
-Preparing and packing customer orders
-Ordering paint, decorating materials, and shop supplies
-Serving customers face-to-face and over the phone
-Help to provide product advice and recommendations
-Processing payments and operating the till/card machine
-Assisting with stock control, replenishment, and deliveries
-Keeping the shop clean, organised, and well presented
-Supporting colleagues with general shop duties as requiredSkills & Experience
-Good communication and customer service skills
-Both friendly and professional
-Ability to work accurately and efficiently
-Basic computer and numeracy skills
-Able to work as part of a team and independently
-Previous retail or decorating trade experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided

-Good attention to detail
This is a full time position, good rates of pay. Hours and salary to be discussed.
