Job Summary:
Contigo Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading NHS Trust to present an outstanding opportunity for a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine on a permanent basis. This post is ideal for an experienced respiratory physician with a particular interest in Lung Cancer and EBUS, and potentially Acute Medicine. The role includes GIM on-call responsibilities and offers flexibility with up to 12 PAs and the option to include a non-working day in the job plan. Join a dedicated and supportive team that includes a specialist Respiratory Nurse Team for COPD and Lung Cancer care.
Salary:
Negotiable Salary, dependent on experience.
Benefits:
Relocation Package up to £20,000, dependent on criteria.
Essential Criteria:
· GMC full registration & licence (MRCP)
· On or within 6 months of GMC Specialist Register in Respiratory Medicine (or expected CESR approval)
· Independent Consultant-level clinical experience in Respiratory Medicine
· Demonstrated interest in Lung Cancer and EBUS
· Willingness to contribute to Acute Medicine (desirable)
· Mandatory participation in GIM on-call rota (1:14)
· Ability to work 10 PAs, with 2 additional PAs available
· Flexibility to include a non-working day in the job plan
Working Hours / On-Call:
· On-call commitment: 1:14
· 10 + 2 PAs
CV Requirements:
· Clearly demonstrate experience & competencies for Respiratory Medicine at Consultant level.
Additional Notes:
· The Trust has a dedicated Respiratory Nurse Team supporting COPD and Lung Cancer services.
· Trus serves as a lead centre for Cystic Fibrosis services.
· Shortlisted candidates must attend a Technical Specification Panel (virtual) and an Advisory Appointment Committee (in-person).
