Broiler Farm Manager
We are seeking a full time Broiler Farm Manager to join our team near Presteigne, Powys. This opportunity is offered by a well-established, diversified, family business group at a high performing poultry site. The role has arisen as a result of the retirement of a very long-standing employee.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the efficient and continuous operation of the farm by overseeing flock health and welfare, biosecurity compliance, and achievement of production targets in line with company & industry standards and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and manage the day-to-day operations of the farm.
- Ensure production targets and bird quality standards are achieved.
- Monitor flock health, performance, and compliance with animal welfare requirements and implement improvements where required.
- Ensure biosecurity procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Plan work schedules and ensure efficient use of labour and resources.
- Monitor the operation of feeding, watering, ventilation, lighting, and other farm systems, and coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure continuous and efficient farm operations.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technical specialists, and other key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with ownership to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Provide regular updates to management on farm performance.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and farm development projects.

- Proven experience in broiler farm management and the ability to show how you can deliver and perform at this level including knowledge and understanding of biosecurity, animal welfare, and health & safety requirements.
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail

- NQV Level 3
- Strong planning, communication, and leadership skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and hold a full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work within an agricultural environment and be available outside standard working hours when required.
