Position: Animal Care Technician
Contract: Part-Time - Annualised
Hours: 200 annualised hours by arrangement with the school
Salary: HC4 - £13.05-13.47 per hour

We are looking to recruit an Animal Care Technician to join our team at Earl Mortimer College. You will be required to maintain a high level of animal welfare at weekends, bank holidays and during school holidays.

Tasks for the role will include:
· Ensuring cages, pens, trays, equipment and fittings are kept clean
· Providing fresh food and water for the animals
· Handling and moving the animals safely
· Checking the animal’s environment (temperature / humidity checks)
· Monitoring the condition of animals and reporting any concerns
· Ordering, collecting and distributing food stock including hay, straw and locusts
· Liaising closely with the Science Faculty team
