Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part Time Butchery Production Assistant to support our production team in preparing, handling, and packaging food products. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar food production, catering, or cooking environment and a strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and production of butchery items in line with company recipes and specifications
Operate basic food production equipment safely and efficiently
Weigh, measure, and assemble ingredients accurately
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas
Follow food safety regulations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Support packaging, labelling, and dispatch of finished products
Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors
Assist with stock rotation (FIFO) and inventory control
Clean and sanitise equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in a food production, catering, or cooking environment
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP awareness preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and carry out manual tasks
