Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Production Supervisor/Manager to join our production team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to develop their leadership skills within a dynamic production environment. The role involves supporting production operations and learning key supervisory functions. As a Trainee Supervisor/Manager you will gain experience across all our departments. As you develop your skills and gain experience you will progress to becoming a production supervisor on‑site.

Duties

Assist in overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
Collaborate with teams to optimise assembly processes and reduce waste
Participate in quality control checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Support the supervision of staff during shifts, fostering a collaborative work environment
Assist in analysing production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Experience

Previous exposure to manufacturing or production environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will be required to apply for the Level 5 Higher Level Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Manufacture at CAFRE. This is a 3 year part-time course.
Applicants must have 2 A Levels or equivalent qualifications plus a minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above including English Language, Mathematics and a science subject.
The successful candidate must have their own transport so they can attend classes on the CAFRE campus.

Pay: £13.35-£17.53 per hour
