Location: Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

Join the dedicated team at Woodgate Aviation NI Ltd, an essential part of the wider SERE Aviation Group. As our group expands its operational footprint and capabilities, ensuring our infrastructure remains in peak condition is more important than ever. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Person/Handy Person to support maintenance across our facilities, helping deliver a secure, highly functional environment for our ongoing aviation operations.

In this varied and hands-on role, you will ensure our hangars, offices, and client-facing areas are maintained to the highest standards. You will play a key role in delivering a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our clients, passengers, and staff while overseeing the smooth day-to-day operation of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Facility & Client Experience

Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from staff and clients.
Minimise disruption during repairs to ensure a seamless operation at all times.
Maintain exceptional presentation standards throughout all public, client, and operational areas.

Maintenance Operations

Carry out day-to-day maintenance across offices, hangars, and back-of-house areas.
Complete a variety of repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical tasks, painting, carpentry, and general upkeep.
Support and coordinate preventative maintenance programmes across the facility.
Assist in monitoring external contractor work, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Strictly adhere to all Woodgate Aviation health, safety, and aviation compliance procedures.
Ensure compliance with facility fire safety and life safety systems.
Identify, report, and proactively address maintenance risks or hazards.
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with industry compliance standards.

General Operations

Assist in monitoring building systems, including HVAC, water, and electrical systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and compliance documentation.
Support sustainability and energy-saving initiatives across the site.
Ensure maintenance stock, tools, and equipment are securely organised and well-maintained.

What We Are Looking For

Experience:

Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a similar hands-on role is essential.
Experience within an aviation, corporate, or high-standard facility environment is highly advantageous.
Relevant trade qualifications or technical experience (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical) are a distinct advantage.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong attention to detail and a natural problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and use your initiative.
Organised approach with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible approach to working hours, including potential weekends and shifts as operational needs dictate.
