We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Carneddau. You’ll lead on the delivery of a new project for nature restoration and connecting communities in the Nant Ffrancon area, Bethesda, Gwynedd.
This is a fixed term contract, until the end of January 2029.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead a small team, including a Project Officer and Project Coordinator. You’ll also work closely with the Rangers looking after the Carneddau & Glyderau Estate, as well as other internal and external staff.

You’ll provide the direction and drive to implement the project plan for Nant Ffrancon. This will include being decisive on structural work, habitat restoration, being a great collaborative partner, and keeping it all to time and budget. The project is a transformation – and you’ll be at the forefront.
It’s an exciting period, and much will happen in the area, with obvious change. This role is clearly community-based, working with a range of partners. No two days will be the same, and as the Hwb Natur (Nature Hub) begins to establish itself and become a prominent part of our way of connecting widely with communities, you’ll be central in shaping the way the property establishes itself for the future.

- Project management skills and the ability to drive complex projects forward within budgets and timescales.
- Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary colleagues, volunteers and consultants.
- Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and community groups.
- Effective organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to oversee multiple workstreams.
- A project management qualification, or the motivation to work towards one.
- A commitment to diversity, inclusion, accessibility and community engagement.
- We also require the following minimum competencies in Welsh language skills:
