Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire and security systems across various sites. Duties
- Install, commission, and maintain a range of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out installation tasks efficiently.
- Conduct system testing and diagnostics to identify faults or inefficiencies; perform repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Collaborate with construction teams during system integration phases on-site to ensure seamless installation processes.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge related to the installation of security hardware and fire protection equipment.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and electrical wiring is required.
- Strong electrical experience within construction environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to fire detection and security systems.
- Previous involvement in system troubleshooting, repair work, or project management within the fire/security sector will be advantageous. Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
