Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial/Industrial Electrician based from our Cross Hands depot.Main Duties and Responsibilities:The role of the Commercial/Industrial Electrician is to provide support to the Facilities Management. Duties will include diagnosis and repair of various industrial machinery, planning the installation and electrical requirements of new equipment and the continuous updating and improvement of the electrical infrastructure. You will be required to:Carry out electrical repairs/maintenance/installations at Castell Howell sites, including three phase and live repairsCompare parts costs when surveying potential work needed at sites by contacting authorised suppliers to ensure prices are competitiveEmergency lighting testingFixed wiring inspections and remedial worksFault findingWorking at heightIn very rare cases you may be called out of hours in an emergency situation where you would need to attend site to rectify an electrical issueYou should have:The ability to work independentlyThe ability to utilise an app-based work management tool (training will be provided)Good timekeepingAn eye for detail and a high standard of workmanshipInitiative to maintain knowledge on legislation and regulationsHold the following qualifications:NVQ Level 2NVQ Level 3AM1 & AM2City & Guilds 2391 inspection & testing is requiredCity & Guilds 18th edition is requiredIPAF licence is desirableWhat we offer:A full-time position working 45 hours per week£43,290-£45,630 per annum dependent of experienceCompany van, phone, PPE and uniformPower and hand tools to effectively carry out your work25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays5% Company contribution pension schemeGenerous discounted staff purchase scheme - save money on your weekly food shopSubsidised canteenFree onsite parkingAdditional Information:Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is requiredDBS check requiredCastell Howell is a member of the Armed Forces Covenant and encourages applications from veterans.
