We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a NVQ Level 3 Nursery Assistant & Playworker level 2 minimum. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging play opportunities for children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment at all times.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality play activities within a secure and caring setting.
- Provide comprehensive care for children, including collecting them from school and ensuring their safe return to parents or carers.
- Set up the play space as required, including arranging furniture and play equipment.
- Offer refreshments to children and ensure all hygiene, health, and safety standards are consistently maintained.
- Administer first aid when necessary.
- Consult with children, involving them in the planning and selection of activities.
- Support club administration tasks when needed.
- Encourage active parental involvement in the club’s activities and events.
- Facilitate effective communication with all members of the organisation, as well as parents and schools.
- Participate in relevant and appropriate training opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy, safe, and secure work environment at all times.
- Work in accordance with the club's established policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Level 3 CACHE qualification required.
- Playworker qualification at Level 2 or above is essential.
- Must possess a clean driving licence.
- Experience with Flying Start and Early Education programmes is necessary.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role 36hours per week with set hours from Monday to Friday on a rotating basis. Shifts between 07:30am to 6pm.
