SOUS CHEF / SENIOR CHEF

The Street Food Kings

Llanrhidian, Swansea

£14.00 to £18.00 per hour depending on experience

We're looking for a chef who can take control of shifts and the kitchen when needed, lead a service, and help drive standards in a busy kitchen.

The ideal candidate is someone that is proactive, vigilant and ambitious.

We need somebody who notices problems before they become issues, takes pride in their work, and genuinely cares about the quality of food leaving the pass.

ABOUT US

The Street Food Kings is an independent restaurant located within Llanrhidian Holiday Park on the Gower Peninsula.

Our menu combines restaurant quality dishes with influences from street food, modern British cooking, and international flavours.

We are continuing to grow and are looking for the right person to become a key part of the kitchen team.

THE POSITION

You will work closely with the owner and management team and be trusted to run sections independently.

Duties include:

Preparing fresh ingredients and maintaining stock levels
Managing your section during service
Ensuring food is presented consistently and correctly
Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
Assisting with ordering and stock control
Supporting junior members of the team to grow and develop.
Contributing ideas for specials and menu development (we are currently designing a new menu and you will have the opportunity contribute toward this.
Helping maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Senior Chef, Sous Chef or similar role
Strong understanding of food safety procedures
Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
Good communication and teamwork skills
A professional attitude and strong work ethic but enjoys what they do.
Someone who takes pride in producing quality food every service
