Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience and suitability)

ABOUT YOU
No marquee experience is required.
We can teach marquee operations. What we are looking for are individuals who can lead people, organise work effectively, maintain high standards and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You may currently work in construction, logistics, events, agriculture, manufacturing, the military, plant hire or another practical operational environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to work
- Strong health and safety awareness
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- A full UK driving licence (towing experience advantageous)
- A willingness to work outdoors in a physically active role

Every Wills marquee is handcrafted by our team near Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, before being delivered to clients throughout the United Kingdom and marquee companies across the globe.
Our business comprises three core activities:
Marquee Sales
We export Wills marquees worldwide to carefully selected rental partners who share our commitment to quality and service.
Marquee Hire
We provide premium marquee hire throughout the United Kingdom. Wills marquees are available for hire exclusively through our own regional network.
Manufacturing
Every marquee is designed and manufactured by our team in Yorkshire. As the business continues to grow, we are investing in additional manufacturing capabilities within our regional depots.

THE ROLE
During the marquee season (typically April to October), you will lead a team responsible for the installation and dismantling of our marquees and associated event infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating installation crews
- Planning and organising equipment and transport
- Ensuring safe and efficient operations on site
- Liaising directly with clients and venues
- Coordinating external contractors where required
- Maintaining the highest standards of presentation and workmanship
- Representing the Wills brand professionally at all times
As Team Leader, you will often be the primary point of contact for our clients on site and will play a key role in ensuring every event is delivered successfully.
OUTSIDE THE MARQUEE SEASON
As a permanent member of the team, your role will continue throughout the winter months.
Depending on your skills, interests and the needs of the business, you may work within:
- Canvas manufacturing
- Woodworking and production
- Equipment maintenance
- Logistics and stock management
- Sales and administration support
- Business improvement projects
This variety provides opportunities to develop new skills and gain a broader understanding of the business.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Long days are occasionally required during busy periods.
- You may be required to participate in an emergency call-out rota.
- Applicants must live within approximately 30 miles of one of our operating bases.
- Equipment maintenance and improvement projects form an important part of the role throughout the year.

Successful candidates will receive structured training and ongoing support, with opportunities to progress into senior operational and management positions as the business continues to grow.
DESIGNATE APPOINTMENTS
Candidates appointed as a Designate Team Leader will undertake a structured training programme alongside an experienced leader.
Training will cover:
- Marquee installation and dismantling
- Safe working practices
- Health and safety procedures
- Client management
- Equipment handling and maintenance
- Vehicle and trailer operations
- Leadership and team management
Our objective is to provide every Designate Team Leader with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to lead successful teams independently.
