Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Electrical Tutor to provide specialised training and mentorship to students and apprentices. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to teach complex concepts in an accessible manner. Duties
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons on electrical principles, wiring, safety procedures, and relevant regulations
- Develop customised lesson plans tailored to students’ skill levels and learning objectives
- Assess student progress through practical demonstrations and theoretical assessments
- Maintain accurate records of progress, and assessments for each student
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, participation, and continuous improvement
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, safety protocols, and technological advancements in electrical work
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance training materials and programme delivery methods
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or related fields
- Strong command of English language skills for effective instruction and communication
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
- Good organisational skills to plan lessons and manage student records efficiently
- Knowledge of plumbing systems is advantageous for integrated training modules
- Familiarity with IT systems to support digital learning tools and resources
- Excellent communication skills to engage students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team committed to educational excellence
Pay: £14.00-£20.00 per hour
