Catering Assistant!

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of catering services by ensuring food service areas are prepared, maintained, and operated to the highest standards. You will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, supporting stock management, and contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

What You'll Be Doing

Prepare Front of House and service areas for daily operations, ensuring they are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
Assist with food and beverage service while delivering excellent customer service.
Accept and check deliveries, including carrying out temperature and quality checks.
Monitor stock levels, replenish supplies, and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, allergen control, and workplace safety.
Complete cleaning duties and ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.
Accurately complete required records, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and other operational documentation.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Support other catering areas and teams as required to meet business needs.
Adapt to changing priorities and operational demands while maintaining service standards.

What You'll Need

Previous catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable.
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and reliable approach to working hours and duties.
Ability to use initiative and work independently when required.
Commitment to health and safety procedures and company policies.
Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
