Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and loss prevention measures. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and quick response are essential.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
Monitor access points and verify the identity of visitors, staff, and contractors to prevent unauthorised entry.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing for theft, vandalism, or unauthorised removal of property.
Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, by providing first aid when necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention.
Enforce company policies and safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for all personnel.

Requirements

Certification or training in first aid is advantageous.
Strong observational skills with an eye for detail and suspicious behaviour detection.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
Must be physically fit to perform patrols and respond swiftly in emergency situations.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required; weekend or night shifts may occasionally be necessary.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
