Full job description

BB Transporters is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for regular container transport work.

BB Transporters is part of the XP Logistics group and handles the container road haulage side of the business. Our usual container jobs run from London Gateway, Tilbury and Felixstowe docks to depots across the UK.

Drivers will work with our own container jobs, our own skelly trailers, and a dedicated in-house traffic planner for container work.

We are looking for reliable drivers who are comfortable with tramping, staying overnight in the cab during the working week, and who want stable, ongoing work with a professional transport company.

We also offer performance and loyalty bonuses for drivers who are reliable, professional and committed to long-term work with the company.

Pay from £180–£200 per day, depending on experience

Requirements

HGV Class 1 / C+E licence
Minimum 1 year UK Class 1 experience preferred
Valid CPC card
Valid Tacho card
Right to work in the UK
Previous container experience preferred
Port cards preferred
Reliable and professional attitude
Comfortable with tramping and overnight stays in the cab

Important

This is a tramper driver position, which means drivers must be prepared to stay overnight in the cab during the working week.

Previous container experience and valid port cards are preferred, although not essential for the right driver.
