Bench Joiner (Junior–Mid Level)

About Us

Mark Made Work is a North London-based workshop specialising in fully bespoke fitted furniture. We design, manufacture, and install high-quality cabinetry, focusing on modern CNC processes.

We’re a small, growing team that takes real pride in the quality of our work. Everything is made to measure, and no two projects are the same—so attention to detail and a willingness to learn are key.

The Role

We’re looking for a bench joiner (junior to mid-level) to join our workshop team. You’ll be involved in fabricating and assembling bespoke cabinetry, working closely with the rest of the team to deliver high-quality pieces ready for installation.

This is a hands-on role in a well-equipped workshop, with the opportunity to build your skills across all stages of production.

The work can be physically demanding and dusty by nature, and you’ll be on your feet most of the day—but for the right person, it’s a highly rewarding role with strong job satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble bespoke cabinetry from technical drawings
Organise and process parts coming off the CNC machine
Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare, sand, and finish components ready for assembly or spraying
Assist with loading, handling, and moving materials (including heavy lifting)
Support occasional on-site installations with the lead carpenter
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace
Accurately interpret drawings and specifications

Skills & Experience

Some experience in joinery, carpentry, fabrication, or assembly (workshop or site-based)
Confident using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers, etc.)
Comfortable with power tools (drills, sanders, saws, etc.)
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Organised and able to work as part of a team
Physically capable of manual work and heavy lifting
Full UK driving licence (preferred; experience with medium-sized vans a bonus)
