About the Role
Link Integrated Security Solutions is looking for a motivated and hands-on Apprentice Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys practical work, solving problems, technology, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will learn from experienced engineers while gaining industry-recognised qualifications and real-world experience across fire and security systems.
You will assist with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of a wide range of systems including:
- Fire alarm systems
- CCTV systems
- Intruder alarms
- Access control systems
- Electronic article surveillance (EAS)
- Life safety systems

A background or interest in sports, fitness, teamwork, or competitive activities would be an advantage, as the role suits individuals who enjoy being active, disciplined, and working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers on customer sites
- Assist with installation and servicing of fire and security systems
- Learn fault-finding and problem-solving techniques
- Help maintain tools, stock, and company vehicles
- Complete training courses and apprenticeship coursework
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally
- Deliver excellent customer service while on-site
Skills & Requirements
Essential:
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards one)
- Ability to work at heights and in different site environments
Desirable:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
- Interest in engineering, mechanics, electronics, or construction
- Experience using basic hand tools
