About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous experience operating brake press machinery in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely production of high-quality components, whilst also being capable of identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate brake press machinery to produce components to required specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and use measuring tools to verify tolerances and dimensions.
Carry out routine maintenance and daily checks to ensure the machine is in safe working condition.
Monitor production quality, make necessary adjustments, and address any deviations.
Identify, diagnose and solve mechanical or process issues with minimal supervision.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with health and safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience operating a brake press machine in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with good understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
